Industry Frustrations
Hey Broken readers,
Have you ever tried to advertise a product using social media or the internet?
Yeah? How'd that go? easy?
Now try marketing your cannabis related product
and let me know if you have the same result.

IM NOT A DRUG DEALER
I bump into unlimited accounts on Instagram pushing all kinds of drugs, which I personally don't have a real issue with but that fact is that I'm trying to advertise a product that is simply metal and ceramic materials and I nearly get my account deleted for applying to advertise with their company. I find this especially silly because my target area is Canada (where I live) and where weed is completely legal. I understand that Instagram has a platform wide policy and they couldn't possibly decide this on a case to case basis but some variances for specific cases would help a lot of small cannabis operations out big time.

WHAT IN THE HELL ARE YOU EVEN DOING?
So this is my first blog post EVER. Can't tell? Well you're way too nice because it is very obvious to everyone reading this. I sat down to write this post with very, very little idea of where to start or what to write about and as I write this is still feel that way. I'm not a writer and I'd never claim to be but I feel like this is a good way to get some of my thoughts out to the few that will listen. I started this little business with the mindset that I was going to stick it out and see it through and that's what I'm doing, that is why you are reading this blog post. The theme of todays blog was intended to be my frustrations with using, what I see as one the most vital forms of communication; Social media. Trust me when I tell you that I was quite shocked to find out that showing people my product on the gram was going to be a manual job. In reality I've since moved past this as a problem and have gotten to work being social. The last few years I've really pulled back from online social interactions mostly due to lack of enthusiasm to do so. That being said I've really taken to the back and fourth with strangers, seeing their content and them seeing mine. It has been a good experience and the cannabis community online has been super welcoming.
Should I end this here?
Soooo this is it, my first official blog post and one step closer to living my dream. Thank you for sitting through this and not tossing your computer at the wall. I'm going to learn how to do this better, I promise.
DAVEY OUT.
